I always forget that the official name for the Portland Rose Garden is the International Rose Test Garden. It is one of the many popular tourist spots in Washington Park. Other attractions in the park include the zoo, forestry museum, children's museum and Japanese garden. There is no cost to visit the garden. The primary purpose of the garden is to test new rose varieties. Here are just a few of the hundreds of varieties that were in full bloom in the garden when I visited in August. Enjoy!
